Tarar Urges Young Officers to Adopt Responsible Communication Strategies

Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar’s Address

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has urged young civil servants to uphold integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility in their duties, prioritizing the national interest. He made these remarks while addressing 217 probationary officers from the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Digital Communication Department.

Tarar highlighted the significance of effective government communication in promoting transparency, providing accurate public information, and strengthening trust in state institutions. He noted that the Common Training Programme is instrumental in enhancing professional capabilities and preparing officers for efficient public service.

Briefing on Ministry Operations

During their visit, the 217-member delegation, comprising 117 males and 100 females from various occupational groups, received an in-depth briefing on the ministry’s role, government communication, national narrative formulation, digital communication, public awareness, and countering misinformation. They also learned about utilizing digital platforms for public outreach and disseminating information on national policies and initiatives.

The probationary officers expressed gratitude for the briefing and showed keen interest in the role of government communication and digital media in strengthening public engagement.
