Textile Exports Rise by 8.07% to $1.814 Billion in July 2026
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026) Pakistan’s textile exports witnessed a significant boost during the first month of the financial year (2026-27), according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Key Findings:
- Overall Exports: The country’s textile exports reached $1.814 billion in July 2026, a 8.07% increase compared to $1.678 billion in July 2025.
- Top Contributors:
- Cotton yarn: Export value surged by 18.69% to $66.529 million.
- Knitwear: Experienced a 4.06% growth to $533.836 million.
- Bed wear: Increased by 4.16% to $308.498 million.
- Towels: Saw a 13.37% rise in exports to $106.364 million.
- Readymade garments: Growth of 15% to $459.988 million.
- Other Notable Grows:
- Tent, canvas and tarpulin: Up by 16.83% to $7.921 million.
- Made up articles (excluding towels and bedwear): Increased by 10.56% to $77.209 million.
- All other textile materials: Grew by 21.98% to $79.461 million.
- Declines:
- Cotton cloth exports dipped slightly by 0.10% to $141.590 million.
- Yarn other than cotton yarn saw a decrease of 23.26% to $2.275 million.
- Art, silk and synthetic textile exports fell by 8.22% to $30.406 million.
Month-on-Month Performance:
Textile exports showed a remarkable 43.13% increase in July 2026 compared to June 2026, according to PBS data.
