TikToker Ayesha Murder Probe Takes Shocking Turn as Father, Brother Among Five Arrested
WAH CANTT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) The murder investigation of popular TikToker Shamsu Bibi alias Ayesha Gilamana took a dramatic turn on Saturday after Taxila police arrested five suspects, including the victim’s father and brother.
Police claimed that the arrested persons had confessed to orchestrating her killing.
SSP Operations Tariq Mehboob, while briefing the media, said investigators expanded the scope of the probe after technical evidence raised questions about the initial course of investigation. He stated they analyzed footage from over 100 CCTV cameras and utilized human intelligence along with technical evidence to unravel the killing.
According to police, the victim’s father, Fazal, and her brother, Bashir, were taken into custody and questioned. During interrogation, they allegedly confessed to arranging Ayesha’s murder with the assistance of other suspects. The other three arrested were identified as Ayesha’s cousin Ehsan, her father’s uncle Rozi Khan, and Yasin, the son of her cousin.
Police alleged that the accused attempted to create a false narrative and mislead investigators to avoid legal consequences. However, they maintained that CCTV footage, technical evidence, and intelligence inputs eventually exposed inconsistencies in their account.
Based on preliminary police investigation, the murder was allegedly committed in the name of so-called honor. Officials stated further interrogation was underway and more revelations were expected as investigators continued to piece together the alleged conspiracy and individual roles of all five suspects. The latest arrests have placed the victim’s immediate family at the center of the alleged murder conspiracy. All five suspects will be produced before the court along with evidence collected during the investigation.
