UAE Team Emirates-XRG All Set for Deutschland Tour, Renewi Tour

UAE Team Emirates-XRG has announced its squads for the Lidl Deutschland Tour and the Renewi Tour, both commencing on Wednesday, 19th August and concluding on Sunday, 23rd August.
Lidl Deutschland Tour
The 40th edition of this race will feature:
- Nils Politt leading the team alongside Isaac del Toro.
- Vegard Stake Laengen, António Morgado, Moritz Mauss, and Matteo Vanden Wijngaert.
- Sports Directors: Fabrizio Guidi and Andrej Hauptman.
Politt, a former winner of the race, will race on home roads in Germany.
The route includes:
- A 2.6km prologue
- Four road stages, with varying elevation gains
- The race ends with an out-and-back route from Heilbronn in stage 4.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG has previously secured podium finishes and stage wins at this event.
Renewi Tour
In Belgium, Florian Vermeersch will lead the team, along with Rune Herregodts, Igor Arrieta, Filippo Baroncini, Mikkel Bjerg, Julius Johansen, and Rui Oliveira.
Sports Directors: Fabio Baldato and Marco Marzano.
Vermeersch, a former runner-up in the general classification, aims for another strong performance, while Oliveira celebrates his first victory at the Volta a Portugal.
The 2026 Renewi Tour features:
- Stage 1: Out and back to Diest
- Stage 2: Blankenberge to Ardooie
- Stage 3: The Queen stage with 17 categorised climbs, including the Kapelmuur
- Stage 4: Rolling roads from Riemst to Bilzen-Hoeselt
- Stage 5: Technical inner-city circuit race in Leuven
UAE Team Emirates-XRG won the Renewi Tour in 2023 and 2024 with Tim Wellens, who also secured a podium spot last year.
