Youth Engagement Vital for Stronger International Connectivity: PMYM’s Coordinator
LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYM) Coordinator Rizwan Anwar has said international youth exchanges are crucial in enhancing global connectivity, fostering partnerships, and offering Pakistani youth opportunities to engage with the international community.
He made these remarks at a special reception hosted by PMYM in honour of the international youth exchange delegation of SEE Pakistan, attended by numerous guests including international delegates, vice chancellors, educationists, youth leaders, and distinguished personalities, on Wednesday.
Welcoming the Delegation
Rizwan Anwar highlighted the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for youth development, empowerment, global connectivity, and meaningful international engagement. He emphasized that Pakistani youth are not just future leaders but today’s leaders and ambassadors of Pakistan worldwide.
According to him, international youth exchange programs empower young people to explore different cultures, exchange ideas, build lasting connections, and showcase Pakistan’s positive image globally. Anwar noted that the government is prioritizing education, digital skills, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, innovation, research, and international exposure as key pillars of youth development.
He stressed that these exchanges should go beyond ceremonial activities and instead serve as a foundation for long-term friendships, institutional cooperation, partnerships, and stronger international ties. Rizwan Anwar added that under the leadership of Chairman PMYM, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, the program is creating diverse opportunities for Pakistani youth to develop skills, enhance leadership capabilities, pursue entrepreneurship and innovation, and connect with global networks.
He believed such initiatives will enable Pakistani youth to contribute effectively to national development while representing their country on an international stage. Anwar also invited international delegates to experience Pakistan’s rich culture, hospitality, diversity, and history, as well as the immense potential of its young generation.
