Anti-Littering Squad Mobilizes Across Lahore To Ensure Cleanliness
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Aug, 2026) The Suthra Punjab Anti-Littering Squad has been fully mobilized across the city to maintain high cleanliness standards and keep commercial markets and major thoroughfares waste-free.
To promote the Suthra Punjab initiative, the squad conducted flag marches and organized cleanliness awareness activities in major commercial centers, including Barkat Market, Kareem Block, and Moon Market, while maintaining active patrolling on Jail Road, MM Alam Road, Main Boulevard, Hussain Chowk, and Main Market.
During the campaign, squad members instructed shopkeepers to refrain from dumping waste outside their shops and directed them to place dustbins outside commercial establishments. Traders and citizens were also warned of legal action and fines for littering in public places.
Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chief Executive Officer Sheryar Arif Khan said the flag march aimed to mobilize citizens and the business community to play an active role in maintaining urban sanitation, urging the public to cooperate with waste management authorities to avoid legal penalties.
