FDA Orders 100% Recovery Of Commercialization Fees, Fines

FDA has ordered a 100 percent recovery of outstanding commercialization fees and fines imposed for illegal development, as per a recent directive from Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry. The move targets properties with persistent defaults.

Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind was tasked with monitoring the recovery drive, reviewing daily collection figures, and ensuring departmental action against underperforming staff members.

Following these instructions, a meeting was convened to formulate a strategy focusing on identifying illegal commercial properties, bringing them into legal compliance to prevent public exchequer losses. The officials were also instructed to:

  • Prepare lists of defaulting private housing schemes.
  • Issue formal notices to non-compliant owners.
  • Take strict legal action against those not complying.
  • Expedite the processing of pending commercialization applications to avoid unnecessary delays for citizens.

This initiative reflects a determined effort by authorities to strengthen property regulations and ensure fair practices in development projects.
