APPSCA Seeks Review Of Fines, Sealing Of Private Schools Across Punjab
APPSCA (All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association)‘s Central President, Dr. Abrar Hussain Malik, has called for a review of the sealing and fines imposed on private educational institutions in Punjab, related to Independence Day celebrations and tree plantation activities during summer vacations.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Dr. Abrar argued that initiatives promoting national awareness, environmental responsibility, and civic values can positively impact students’ character development and overall growth. He recognized the consistent support of private schools for such programs as part of their educational and social responsibilities.
He respectfully requested the provincial government and district education authorities to:
- Review decisions regarding the sealing of private schools and administrative fines.
- Address the issue constructively and balancedly.
- Reopen affected institutions, including those in the Rawalpindi Division.
- Reconsider imposed fines considering the nature and purpose of the activities.
Dr. Abrar encouraged collaboration between the government and private school managements to conduct educational, national awareness, and environmental initiatives in compliance with rules without disrupting academic activities.
