Chinese FM Wang Yi To Visit South Korea and Indonesia
BEIJING, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) : Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and China’s foreign minister, is set to visit South Korea and Indonesia from August 19 to 22.
According to a ministry spokesperson, Wang will travel to the two countries at the invitation of South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono.
During his visit to Indonesia, Wang will chair the inaugural meeting of the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue mechanism, focusing on strengthening coordination between the two countries on bilateral and regional issues. He will also participate in the second ministerial meeting under the China-Indonesia “2+2” dialogue mechanism alongside Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and the two countries’ defense ministers. Discussions are expected to revolve around diplomatic and defense cooperation, along with broader regional and international concerns.
