CPO Suspends SI Over Alleged False Drug Case, Closes SHO Kahuta

RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026)

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, on Tuesday suspended a Sub-Inspector and issued him a charge sheet over a complaint alleging the registration of a false drug case against a citizen.

According to a police spokesman, the action was taken after complaints were received during an open court held in Kahuta. Sub-Inspector Abdul Qayyum was accused of registering a false drug case against a citizen.

The CPO also closed Kahuta Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Nadeem Altaf over poor performance.

Sukhera stated, "There is no room for misuse of authority and effective service delivery is the priority of Rawalpindi Police."
