DC Astore, AC Shounter Review Compensation Process For Affected Properties Along Goreekot–Shaghurthang Road
DC Astore, Madam Neelam Ali, and Assistant Commissioner Shounter Taufeeq Ahmed visited the Goreekot–Shaghurthang Road project site and reviewed the compensation process for land and properties impacted by the project. During their visit, they received a detailed briefing on the survey, identification of affected areas, record completion, and legal aspects from revenue officials.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the authorities to expedite the compensation process and complete it promptly. She emphasized that all records and documents related to compensation should be submitted without delay to facilitate timely payments to the affected individuals.
Noting the project’s significance for public interest, she assured transparency and protection of affected people’s rights while adhering to rules and regulations. Assistant Commissioner Taufeeq Ahmed instructed the revenue team to finish surveys and compensation procedures according to prescribed guidelines. He urged field staff to provide prompt information and documents to the concerned office.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized continuous monitoring and regular updates to the district administration on the compensation process, ensuring timely payments alongside project implementation.
