DC Directs Foolproof Security and Administrative Arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Saturday directed all concerned departments to ensure foolproof security and comprehensive administrative arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations across the district.
Meeting to Review Security and Municipal Services
Chaudhry, chairing a high-level meeting, reviewed security, municipal services, and law-and-order measures for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. He stated that all available resources would be utilized to provide maximum facilities to citizens and maintain a peaceful environment.

Security Measures:
- Deployment of additional security personnel at sensitive locations.
- Installation of walk-through gates and effective screening mechanisms at entry and exit points of procession routes.
- Strict monitoring of social media to prevent incitement.

Municipal Services:
- Removal of all encroachments along procession routes.
- Ensuring proper cleanliness and fully functional streetlights.
- Water sprinkling along the routes.

Other Arrangements:
- Rescue-1122 coverage, medical teams, traffic management, water stalls, and sweet distribution.
- Safety arrangements for fireworks displays.
- Lighting and decoration of major roads, markets, and public and private buildings.
- Awards for institutions with outstanding lighting displays.
- Speech and essay competitions in educational institutions.
- Minimizing electricity and gas load-shedding on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmad Mughees and heads of relevant departments.
