Electric Bus Service To Be Launched In Multan Soon: CM
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has stated that the historic city of Multan possesses immense potential to become a significant tourism hub, with the provincial government undertaking multi-billion rupee projects for the restoration and rehabilitation of its historical sites.
She highlighted initiatives like the rehabilitation of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, contributing to the preservation of Multan’s rich heritage and the promotion of tourism in the region.
During a meeting with Multan MPAs Muhammad Salman, Nazik Karim, and Malik Lal Muhammad, held on Saturday, CM Maryam Nawaz discussed:
- The prevailing political scenario.
- Ongoing public development projects.
- Issues faced by constituents.
The CM emphasized that development projects aim to provide citizens with safe and convenient travel facilities, improving traffic management systems. She announced the imminent launch of an electric bus service in Multan.
Directing MPAs to monitor project timelines and ensure completion, she also instructed them to initiate a comprehensive plantation campaign across urban and rural areas of Multan.
The MPAs expressed gratitude for projects like the Multan-Wahari dual carriageway and beautification initiatives, particularly the construction and rehabilitation of Gulgasht Brand Road, praising the upgradation of the city under the Punjab Development Programme. They further highlighted the results of Azad Kashmir elections, affirming PML-N’s popularity as a genuine public-oriented political party in Pakistan.
