Five Relief Cases Approved For Disaster-affected Families in Abbottabad
Abbottabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 22, 2026) The District Disaster Management Unit has approved five relief cases for people affected by natural and unforeseen disasters in Abbottabad, while 44 other cases were rejected.
This decision was made at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram to review cases involving loss of life, property damage, house destruction, and other losses caused by natural disasters.
A total of 49 relief cases were presented before the committee. Of the five approved cases, one involved a loss of life, while four concerned damage to houses.
Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram assured that all necessary relief and assistance would be provided to those affected by natural disasters, adhering to the prescribed rules and regulations.

- Representatives of the district police
- Communication and Works Department
- Other relevant departments.
