Global Virtual Schools To Bridge Education Gap In Remote Areas: Minister

PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the Global Virtual School to provide quality education to students across the province, particularly in remote areas, said Minister for Education Arshid Ayub.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Minister said that the Global Virtual School would open new avenues of quality education for every child. He stated that education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is no longer confined to classrooms, as the formal launch of online education has begun in various districts through the Global Virtual School in Peshawar.

He described it as the beginning of a new era of learning through modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital education.

The Minister highlighted the key features of the Global Virtual School, including:

  • Modern virtual classrooms for Grade 6 to 12
  • An AI-based teaching system
  • State-of-the-art digital laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Robotics, Zoology, Botany, and Maths
  • A podcast studio
  • Modern training halls for teachers’ capacity building
  • A plan to connect over 500 schools online
  • The provision of modern and quality education in multiple languages.

The centre will serve as the main hub for the province’s virtual education system, delivering best teachers and quality educational resources to students in far-flung areas using modern technology. He emphasized that no child in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would now be deprived of quality education due to distance, lack of resources, or limited facilities.
