Joint Ventures With US Business Community Can Boost Trade in KP: Governor Kundi
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has stated that the province possesses immense potential for investment and joint ventures with the American business community could significantly enhance trade and economic development.
Addressing a farewell dinner in honour of US Consul General Tom Eckert, the governor highlighted the richness of natural resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly hydropower, oil and gas, minerals, and tourism. He asserted that these sectors offer vast opportunities for international investors.
Governor Kundi noted that the province boasts the largest youth population in the country, and efforts are underway to foster international cooperation through educational scholarships and skill development programs. He emphasized the strong partnership between Pakistan and the United States in countering terrorism, underscoring the need for continued collaboration to eliminate extremism.
The Governor expressed a desire to expand cooperation with the US Embassy and government in investment, education, and economic sectors. He affirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening positive relations with the American side.
