‘Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk’ A Beautiful Symbol Of Love And Devotion: Mayor
Karachi, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has stated that the Seerat-e-Mubarakah of the holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) serves as a guiding light for all humanity. The Prophet (PBUH) provided practical guidance and exemplary principles for human beings across every aspect of life. True love and devotion to the Prophet (PBUH) necessitates us to adhere to his Sunnah in our daily routines, demonstrating our affection through character, words, and actions.
Karachi’s Mayor shared these insights while addressing media representatives after inaugurating "Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk" in Saddar Town. He explained that on the auspicious occasion of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the chowk has been meticulously reconstructed, renovated, and enhanced, featuring special lighting and cleanliness arrangements to ensure it becomes a prominent landmark of religious devotion and respect.
According to the Mayor, "Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk" symbolizes the love, devotion, and reverence the people of Karachi hold for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized that its establishment in Saddar Town beautifully encapsulates the religious identity of the city, reflecting the affection and devotion of Karachiites. Upon learning of the proposal, he promptly approved it, fulfilling his commitment.
The Mayor reminded everyone that serving Mustafa (PBUH) is a sacred duty, and following his teachings and way of life is integral to our faith. He expressed his desire to initiate long-lasting projects that will be remembered for years to come. "Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk" is one such gift to the people of Karachi, he said, praising the city’s spirit of love, brotherhood, and respect.
As part of ongoing development efforts, the Mayor committed to preserving and maintaining the chowk, appealing to citizens to play their role in its upkeep. He assured continued service to humanity and the fulfillment of obligations while emphasizing that love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a crucial aspect of our faith. "Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk" has emerged as a new symbol of love and devotion within the city, he concluded.
On this occasion, Mayor Karachi was presented with a commemorative shield in recognition of his efforts in establishing and developing the chowk.
