Liverpool have £50m bid rejected for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh
BBC Sport reports that Liverpool have had a £50 million bid rejected by Brighton for their winger, Yankuba Minteh. The 22-year-old Gambian international has impressed since joining the Seagulls from Newcastle in 2024, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in 73 appearances.
Minteh, primarily a right-wing player, is currently recovering from a leg injury sustained in a friendly against Roma. Liverpool, led by manager Andoni Iraola, aim to strengthen their wide attacking options this summer, with Yankuba Minteh at the top of their list.
They have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million, but are still pursuing Paris St-Germain’s Bradley Barcola. However, a deal for Barcola appears unlikely due to a significant gap in valuation between the two clubs.
