A woman, Muradan Bibi, was allegedly shot dead by her brother-in-law, Abdul Jabbar, over unfounded allegations of illicit relations in the Dhaka area under Kundai police station limits on Saturday.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Jabbar along with relatives Abdul Hakeem, Farooq, Ameer Din, and two unidentified accomplices opened fire on Bibi while she was sitting at home. The suspects fled the scene after committing the crime.
Police collected evidence from the spot and registered a case under Sections 302, 311, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s husband, Muhammad Amin. A search operation was launched to trace and arrest the fleeing suspects.
