Minister for Faster Completion of Water Supply Schemes in Abbottabad
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 17, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Health Engineering Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan has directed the concerned authorities to expedite work on ongoing water supply and sanitation schemes in Abbottabad and ensure their timely completion.
He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting here on Monday to review the progress of ongoing and proposed projects in the district. The Executive Engineer Abbottabad presented a briefing on the status of various schemes and future initiatives.
The minister emphasized that all schemes should adhere to prescribed quality standards, stating that providing clean and safe drinking water to the population is a top priority for the government. He instructed the department to identify new schemes based on population needs and public demands, while maintaining transparency and quality in the execution of water supply and sanitation projects.
