QAU, SMIU Sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to Strengthen Academic Cooperation
Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, and Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), Karachi, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic cooperation and promote collaborative initiatives.

According to a SMIU press release, the MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Vice Chancellor of QAU, and Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of SMIU in Islamabad. The agreement aims to foster collaboration in:
- Research
- Technical cooperation
- Continuing education
- Community services
Under the terms of the agreement, the two universities will explore opportunities for:
- Faculty and student exchanges
- Joint academic and research activities
- Conferences and seminars
- Sharing of academic materials and research publications
The MoU also encourages joint efforts to promote an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Dr. Salma Malik, Director External Linkages, QAU, also attended the meeting.
