Students Lead Green Drive in Schools, Pledge to Protect Environment
Students from Rise School for Inclusive Education and Al-Aqeeq School in Abbottabad actively participated in a plantation drive organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Tourism and Culture. This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness among students and promote a greener Pakistan.
Speaking at the event, Culture and Tourism Officer Saima Imran emphasized the significance of tree plantation as a national duty and a solution to combat climate change. She highlighted the importance of social inclusion and collective responsibility, noting that both special and regular students enthusiastically took part in the campaign.
Imran also mentioned the Department’s ongoing efforts to organize similar plantation and awareness activities alongside their tourism promotion initiatives. She encouraged students to nurture the saplings they planted, contributing to a cleaner and greener environment for Pakistan.
The students reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection, aiming to make their country greener.
