Sweden Embassy Opens Doors for Pre-voting in 2026 Parliamentary Election

The Embassy of Sweden in Islamabad on Friday opened its doors for pre-voting in the 2026 Swedish parliamentary election, providing an opportunity for Swedish citizens in Pakistan to exercise their democratic right early.

Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Alexandra Berg von Linde, cast her vote at the Embassy on the first day of pre-voting. In a message, she stated that this occasion was "a reminder that every vote matters and that democratic participation is at the heart of a free and fair election."

The Embassy encouraged all eligible Swedish voters residing in Pakistan to participate in the pre-voting process ahead of the general elections.
