Talal Criticizes PTI For Fabricating Agenda Around Founder’s Health
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership for allegedly fabricating a narrative around the health of the party’s founder to serve its ulterior political motives. He stated that the incarcerated leader’s medical check-up went smoothly.
Chaudhary noted that the medical treatment and facilities provided to the PTI founder were exceptional, with a doctor available round the clock at the jail. The leader underwent routine medical check-ups three times a day and was shifted to hospital when necessary.
In response to a question, he explained that the recent check-up was arranged at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) due to security concerns regarding a large gathering that could have hindered the process.
Chaudhary emphasized that the primary concern was the health and medical examination of the PTI jailed leader, which was successfully completed. He accused the PTI leadership of politicizing the entire process for their own interests.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing prisoners with the best medical facilities when required.
