Top Students To Get Chance To Become ‘one-day Symbolic Commissioner’
Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh has announced an innovative competition to give outstanding students an opportunity to step into the shoes of the symbolic divisional commissioner for a day, stating that this initiative would foster leadership qualities, confidence, and a sense of responsibility among the youth.
Addressing a meeting with matriculation position-holders invited by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad, he revealed that students topping matriculation exams, excelling in curricular and co-curricular activities at public and private schools, and O-Level students would be eligible to participate.
He informed that the detailed schedule and mechanics for the competition will be disclosed shortly, and the student selected as the “One-Day Symbolic Commissioner of Faisalabad Division” will be honored at a special event on November 09, marking Iqbal Day.
Welcoming the Achievers
Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh expressed delight in interacting with these high achievers and congratulated them, their parents, and BISE administration on their remarkable performance. He emphasized that securing top positions is not merely an achievement but also a responsibility, encouraging students to live up to their success and make their mentors proud through their character, conduct, and future endeavors.
The divisional commissioner regarded talented students as the country’s bright future and advised them to set clear goals and pursue their ambitions with determination. He also highlighted the significance of participating in co-curricular activities alongside academic pursuits for developing a well-rounded personality.
Interactive Session
During the interaction, he engaged in an extensive discussion with the position-holders, seeking their insights on further improving the examination system. The students shared their perspectives and offered suggestions based on their experiences.

Prof Dr Rana Binyamin, Chairman BISE Faisalabad, provided an overview of the examination system and modern evaluation methods being implemented for marking and assessment.
Additional Commissioner Coordination Tanveer Murtaza, Director Development Asif Chauhan, and other senior officers were also present at the event.
