Zero Day of Polio Booster Dose Observed in SBA

HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) The Zero Day of Polio Booster Dose Campaign was observed in District Shaheed Benazirabad on Friday.
Separate ceremonies were held at Government Primary School Ismail Bhand, Union Council Saeed Kando, Qazi Ahmed, and Government Boys Primary School Mehrabpur, Sakrand.
The ceremony at Government Primary School Ismail Bhand was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Qazi Ahmed Nazir Hussain Jatoi, while the event at Government Boys Primary School Mehrabpur was launched by Mukhtiarkar Sakrand.
They participated in the Zero Day celebrations and reaffirmed the commitment of district administration to ensuring successful implementation of the Polio Booster Dose Campaign.
On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner and Mukhtiarkar emphasized the need for close coordination among all relevant departments to completely eradicate polio. They also urged parents to fully cooperate with polio teams to protect their children from the crippling disease.
They stated that all necessary arrangements had been completed by district administration to make the Polio Booster Dose Campaign successful, and efforts would be made to achieve assigned targets during the campaign.
During the ceremonies, Assistant Commissioner and Mukhtiarkar distributed gifts to children. Representatives of Health Department, Polio Programme, and other relevant departments also attended the events.
