DPO Reviews Security For 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal
GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 22, 2026) | District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Faisal Shahzad chaired a meeting with ulema, members of the District Peace Committee, and organisers of Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions to review security arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
According to an official source, foolproof security arrangements have been finalised, with 2,352 police officers and personnel deployed across the district.
The source stated that 81 processions and rallies would take place in the district, categorised as:
- 76 Category-C
- 4 Category-B
- 1 Category-A
Elite Police Force teams will patrol important roads, and checkpoints will be established at entry and exit points of the district. A special traffic plan, supervised by the DSP Traffic, has also been prepared to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Police reserves have been constituted to handle any emergency situation.
DPO Faisal Shahzad urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately and called upon Ulema of all schools of thought to promote religious harmony, tolerance, and peace in the district.
