KMU Hospital & Research Centre Holds Special Event For Children Battling Cancer
UrduPoint (August 20, 2026) – A special event was organized for children battling cancer and their parents at Khyber Medical University Hospital & Research Center (KMUH&RC) in Peshawar. The initiative aimed to bring joy and happiness to these young patients during their treatment.
The event, arranged by Clinical Psychologist, Sundas Bibi in collaboration with the Departments of Psychology and Pediatric Oncology, featured various games and recreational activities for the children. Gifts and refreshments were also distributed. The children actively participated, expressing great delight.
Refreshments were provided for the parents, who received guidance on supporting their children emotionally during their illness. Activities were also organized for hospital staff to relax and connect.
Registrar KMU, Inam Ullah Khan Wazir, Dr. Shaista Khan, and Muhammad Wazir attended, interacting with the children and offering encouragement. Ibrahim Shah, National Sales Manager, McOLSON Research Laboratory, and Sundas Bibi also provided significant support.
Organizers emphasized the importance of mental and emotional well-being alongside physical health for children undergoing cancer treatment.
