Korea’s Exports Surge 56% in First 20 Days of August on Robust Chip Shipments

Outbound shipments reached a record $55.2 billion during this period, with semiconductor shipments contributing significantly.

- Imports: $41.2 billion (up 19% year-on-year)

By sector, exports of chips nearly tripled to $26 billion, accounting for 47.2 percent of total exports, a 22.5 percentage point increase from the previous year.
