Micron Unveils $10 Billion AI Memory Research Lab In Boise
Micron Technology announced on Thursday its plan to invest $10 billion over the next decade in a newly established research lab in Boise, Idaho. The initiative aims to advance memory technologies, develop compute systems, and support future chip manufacturing.
Micron Research Labs will bring together customers, academia, government, and the broader semiconductor ecosystem to drive innovation. This investment builds upon the company’s existing commitment of over $250 billion to manufacturing and R&D across the United States.
The lab will be integrated with Micron’s global research and technology network spanning the US, Europe, Japan, India, Singapore, and Taiwan.
