NA Speaker Pays Tribute to Rashid Minhas on 55th Martyrdom Anniversary
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Aug, 2026) Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday paid rich tribute to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the 55th anniversary of his martyrdom.
The Speaker said that the sacrifice of Rashid Minhas was an everlasting example of patriotism, courage, and devotion to duty. He stated that the martyr laid down his life for the defence and security of the motherland.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed that Rashid Minhas’s exemplary courage, sense of duty, and love for the country will continue to guide the younger generation. He highlighted the martyr’s unwavering commitment to the defence of Pakistan and national security.
The Speaker mentioned that Rashid Minhas was the youngest Pakistani to be awarded the country’s highest military honour, Nishan-e-Haider. He emphasised the significant sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan for the protection of national security and sovereignty.
Rashid Minhas, said Ayaz Sadiq, sacrificed his life in defence of the motherland, demonstrating that the security of the country was paramount. He added that the martyr’s supreme sacrifice foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs, and the martyrs of the nation are its true heroes, with the entire nation proud of them.
Ayaz Sadiq concluded by stating that the nation would always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs and prayed for the elevation of Rashid Minhas’s ranks and those of all other martyrs.
