PHF Announces Training Camp For National Junior Men’s Hockey Team Ahead Of Jr Asia Cup
Islamabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026) The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced that a training camp for the national junior men’s hockey team will commence on August 19 at the POF Hockey Stadium, Wah Cantt, in preparation for the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 to be held in China. All selected players have been directed to report at the venue by 4pm on August 19, said a press release.
According to the PHF, the camp has been organized to ensure the team’s optimal preparation for the continental event. The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has stipulated that only players born on or after January 1, 2006, will be eligible to participate in the Junior Men’s event. The PHF assured that AHF’s standard operating procedures regarding the age limit will be strictly implemented.
The federation emphasized that participation in this international tournament will provide Pakistan’s talented young players with an excellent opportunity to test their skills at the highest Asian level and gain valuable international experience.
