RCCI Delegation Reviews Rain-Affected Damages in Raja Bazar and Moti Bazar
RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 21, 2026) — A delegation from the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), led by President Usman Shaukat, visited Raja Bazar and Moti Bazar to assess financial losses incurred by shopkeepers due to recent heavy monsoon rains.
The delegation met with affected shopkeepers to gather details regarding flooded commercial premises and inventory damage caused by the urban flooding.
Usman Shaukat, speaking on the occasion, expressed deep regret over the extensive losses suffered across city markets. He assured the business community that the RCCI stands firmly with traders during this challenging time and will provide all possible assistance to facilitate recovery.
He further stated that the chamber is in continuous communication with local business associations and the district administration to evaluate losses and streamline relief efforts. Usman pledged to raise the traders’ concerns with relevant authorities to ensure financial compensation and advocate for long-term preventive infrastructure improvements to safeguard commercial centers from future flooding.
The delegation included RCCI Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Executive Members Naveed Kanwal and Afzaal Saeed Butt, along with other trade representatives.
