RPO Orders Efforts For Further Reduction In Crime Ratio

Multan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2026): Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan, Usman Akram Gondal, has directed police officers in four districts under his command to further intensify crime prevention measures following a promising decline in the overall crime rate.
He delivered these instructions at a crime meeting held at the Regional Police Office Multan, where participants thoroughly discussed the law and order situation, crime trends, and police performance across Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran.
RPO Usman Akram Gondal deemed the dip in the overall crime ratio encouraging, emphasizing the need to sustain this positive trend through enhanced policing, improved investigation, and consistent action against criminals.
The meeting was attended by:
- City Police Officer (CPO) Multan, Sadiq Ali Dogar
- District Police Officers (DPOs) of Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran, namely Tasawwar Iqbal, Muhammad Abid, and Beenish Fatima
- SSP Investigation, Muhammad Tahir Khichi
- SSP Regional Investigation Branch, Hassan Raza Khakhi.

Usman Akram Gondal further stated that police officers’ performance would be subject to regular review with outstanding individuals being encouraged and recognized. He stressed that improving police performance for public safety and crime elimination remains the top priority, emphasizing effective policing, merit-based investigation, and timely action against criminals as essential elements for maintaining peace and community confidence.
