Uzbek Government Delegation Explores UAE’s ‘Zero Bureaucracy’ Programme

A government delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan has delved into the UAE Government’s experience with the Zero Bureaucracy (ZBP) initiative, studying its best practices and successful models. This visit forms part of a Government Experience Exchange programme, fostering strategic partnerships in modernisation between the two nations.

The primary focus was on showcasing the ZBP’s effectiveness, success stories, and the exploration of artificial intelligence solutions for government operations. Through intensive workshops and knowledge tours, participants gained insights into eliminating bureaucracy and enhancing service delivery.

The Uzbek delegation, comprising officials from various government entities including the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms, Zero Bureaucracy Office, Ministry of Justice, and Digital Government Projects Management Center, engaged in meaningful discussions with Emirati counterparts.

Mohamed Bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Experience Exchange, highlighted the collaborative relationship between the UAE and Uzbekistan as a practical example of knowledge exchange leading to tangible results in government development. He emphasized that Zero Bureaucracy is about transforming government operations by redesigning service models around citizens’ needs, ultimately enhancing service quality.

The delegation participated in meetings and workshops with Emirati officials and experts from various government departments, including the Zero Bureaucracy Programme team, Emirates Post, General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Ministry of Finance, and Etihad Water & Electricity. A special session led by Hesham Amiri, Deputy Chief of Government Services, focused on the Zero Bureaucracy Award winners and the Agentic AI project in the UAE Government.
